First use the site www.theartexplosion.com for registration and uploads. How do I register? I registered and don't see the upload link? Should I use my real name? I didn't use my real name and I want to change my user name to my real name? How do I upload an image? How do I edit, delete, change the title, or description of an image? How do I edit my profile and put on a picture of myself? How do I copy an image into another category? Should I copy an image into one of the group studio categories? My account has frozen and doesn't work at all! How do I register? To register you click on the registration button. Then click on the agree button. You must use your real name (First Last) with first and last name capitalized and a space in between for your user name since this is how people will be able to find you and your art work on the site.Then enter a real e-mail address. This is all the information that is required. Press the Submit Registration Form button. We will send you an e-mail with a link to confirm you are a real person. Click that link and you are registered. I registered and don't see the upload link? After you press the submit button we will instantly send an email to the email address you entered. In that email is a link that you must press to confirm you are a real person. The link will take you back to the site were you can login. After you login you will be able to see the upload link and upload pictures. Should I use my real name? You must use your real name since this is how people will be able to search for you and your art work on the site. The format is "First Last" with capitalized first and last with a space in the middle. I didn't use my real name and I want to change my user name to my real name? Only the Administrator can change your user name. Just send a message to the "admin" user.Click on the "admin" user and go to his profile. Then click on the "Send Message" link. Make sure and include your old user name with your new user name request. It can take a day or two but just develope your gallery as usual and your name change will happen soon. How do I upload an image? Only registered artists who are signed in can upload images. After you sign in click on the upload images link next to the logout link. Information about how much disk space you have will be there. To upload an image press the browse button and select a jpeg picture from on your computer. Images should be in the 50k to 150k range, 72 dpi, and about 5 inches square. You can enter a title and description at this time. Upload the picture to your Artists Galleries catagory. Click the upload submit button and your picture will be uploaded. Please keep your photos in your Artists Galleries category. Thanks. How do I edit, delete, change the title, or description of an image? You need to be signed in to edit an image. While you are signed in you click on an image of yours to select it. After you select it scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see the heading titled additional info. When you move your pointer over the different icons they will give you different options. The icon with the pencil lets you edit your photos. You can edit the title, delete it, change the description and move or copy it to different categories. How do I edit my profile and put on a picture of myself? After you sign in click on the link to your profile. Then click on the edit profile link. You don't have to fill out all the fields. just fill in the ones you want to. One of the options is an Avatar. The avatar is the picture that will be displayed to represent you when people view your pictures and your profile. Click the browse button and select a picture from your computer. Another option is the about me section. Here you can input an artist statement or anything you want people to know about you. If you have a web site you can enter that in the Homepage field. After you have made all your changes don't forget to click the "save changes" tab. How do I copy an image into another category? You need to be signed in to copy an image to another catagory. While you are signed in you click on the image of yours you want to copy to select it. After you select it scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see the heading titled additional info. We suggest you keep all your images in your Artists Gallery and only move one picture into other catagories to avoid confusion. Should I copy an image into one of the studio categories? Yes please copy one image into your studio category. Should I copy an image into one of the group studio categories? If you have a studio at one of these group studios please copy one image into its category. My account has frozen and doesn't work at all! Sometimes things go wrong and we have to paint over them.
